Dollhouse Renovation

I wish I had taken more pictures as I was doing demo on this dollhouse I built when I was younger.  I stripped the layers of paint off and started removing windows and doors--- I've bought new windows and doors to go in the house and now I have to patch them in.  The bottom floor had a big hole in it so I had to patch that and then I put down a new floor using skinny sticks.  I have to sand and paint the floor still-I'm considering a gray floor.  On the second floor I tore out the walls.  I think there will be two rooms on that floor-a bathroom and a bedroom.  I haven't really decided what to do with the small third floor area yet- it may just get decorated like a simple attic.  I've been busy working on Christmas presents- so I haven't been able to spend much time on this project.  Isn't it so hard to want to work on a house and have to set it aside for other things?

Hi Kim! I love this Heritage dollhouse and I know that it must hold a lot of good memories for you from when you were young, but I am sooooo glad that you are giving it a new life! I know that the new windows and door will up-grade this house right away and the new flooring and the re-working of the second floor rooms will be exciting to see, as it develops. Keep up the Great work.
I know just what you mean about having to forfeit the dollhouse time to other things but it will happen, if you just keep at it when you can.

How awesome to work on a dollhouse from childhood. My dad made me one when I was in grade school but we moved so much that I think it disappeared a long time ago. Can't wait to see how you continue with this one! hugs, ara
