Garden pictures

Just a few garden pictures today. I made my wedding ants last night and I am letting them dry good and hard today so that I can paint them tonight. I think they turned out quite cute- I hope the bride gets a smile from them. Anyhow, here are pictures from my garden this morning. We have been having rain off and on here, so I thought I better take some pictures of some of the peonies before they were all gone. The rain is kind of hard on them. I also have some lillies opening, yellow foxglove and blue campanella. I think that is what the blue flowers are called. I planted them from seed years ago and each year in the fall I go out and shake the stems hard to send seeds flying and let them keep popping up wherever they like. Hope your day is sunny where you live!

what a beautiful garden!!! Lovely place for gorgeous photos!!! You must really have a green thumb. i can only do indoor plants .... and only plants that don't need to be water too often - haha!

Thank you ladies! My garden is really like my baby- since I don't have any children except furry ones :) I know I should have that barn torn down Katie, it is probably a hazard, but I love how it looks so it stands and continues to decay :)

I love your garden, I wish I had more time to have such pretty flowers. As you've seen I always go for shrubs and alpines so I can just leave them to get on with it. I have been pretty good at watering lately though. ;0) Keep up the good work x hel x

I like the barn too! I was just thinking that while looking at the pictures! Everything looks great. We had some peonies at our other house. They were great until, as you said, the rains came. Over! Just like that!

What's going on with you? "Good and hard".."hard on"...
Can you tell where my mind is today?

Your garden is lovely. Those blue flowers really do add a lot to it, but then I am partial to blue. It is my favorite colour after all. And those wedding ants are priceless! She is going to love them!

Wow Kin...can't believe how much it has grown...it is looking wonderful. I wish I enjoyed gardening.

And I vote to keep the barn too...adds character :-)

Hel- I think your gardens are lovely! Besides, my very first garden was just a couple of bushes and some tulip bulbs. It just grew from there :)

Laura- you always make me laugh- you are priceless :)

Thank you to Jayne, Kat and Doreen! Doreen- I wouldn't mind saving some seeds for you- but I am unsure of the rules of mailing seeds across the border? Might have to look into the rules and see what they say. Those blue flowers all started as one plant and each year I just shake the seeds pods like crazy and let them regrow where they like- they are perennials :)

I would love some of the seeds but I think you might not be able to send them over the border. I know you can't take plants of any description over the border but I don't know about seeds.

OH MY GOSH! Your garden looks amazing! I knew it would even when there was only bare bones there. What a wonderful place to go for inspiration. HuGGs! Debi

Thank you Debi! I wish you could come visit me and see it in person! Of course, we would have to do our art on the back deck because that garden is full sun and quite hot! I am glad to see you back online- I hope you settle into your new home soon :)

Kim, I just love your pictues! I'm just sorry that I've gotten so far behind on reading everyone's blogs. With my 2 weeks vacation I've taken this as a chance to catch up. I still love that great big barn in front of your house!
