IRIS

Some of my iris are starting to really get blooming now. I love the dark purple ones- when you are close to them they look like velvet. Happy Thursday!!

Gorgeous, great photos! I love the dark purple iris too, so rich. I planted Discovery and Mount Everest Iris this year for the first time. I put some in pots I'm looking forward to as well. Planted Gladiolas and Dahlias too, always exciting. I go out everyday just to see what's up, lol.

Nice Kim. I like those deep purple ones. My lilacs are just now opening but my iris have a way to go yet.

Thanks to all of you ladies!
Jean- I hope you post pictures of your flowers! I love to look at other people's gardens! I have never tried Dahlia's before. A friend gave me a few bulbs this year and I planted them, but I have no idea if they will come up or not because I don't know if I planted them right :)

Kim, lol, I'm sure you planted them right. My neighbor got me started, she has over 300 dahlia's each year, so many varieties! I've been working on a small rockery/steps area with sedums in all different colors this year, they are so interesting. I'm also adding ground covers, wooly thyme etc, they are just like mini trees. Wish I had started them years ago. Mini Hugs, Jean
